WWC at University of Buenos Aires and Hospital de Clinicas

Web conferencing allows classes to be offered anywhere in the world without altering the traditional dynamic, even in prestigious institutions such as the Hospital de Clinicas or the University of Buenos Aires.

There are plenty of benefits, such as those outlined by professor Dr. Roberto Soto, Technology Secretary at the Faculty of medicine: "It is a fundamental value to be able to see a professional of renown, from Argentina or other countries, acting in his own medium with all the elements of his daily practice".

Martin Ferreira, Chief of technical Implementation at the Faculty of Medicine explains: "After trying out Wormhole´s web conferencing platform we came up with the idea of adding new services to the Virtual Faculty of Medicine, with the objective of offering remote acccess everywhere in Argentina".

Dr. Pablo Chiaradía, Chief Oftalmologist of the Hospital de Clínicas, says: "So far the clinical meetings we held were only in person, but with web conferencing we have the possibility of offering distance learning to enrich those sessions and allow the participation of other hospitals and universities".

Web conference is being used more and more since it allows an easy, affordable and practical form of communication between several people no matter the distance.
